Understanding the Importance of a Good Night’s Sleep
Good sleep is essential for physical and mental health. Persistent insomnia can lead to serious health issues, impacting mood, cognitive function, productivity, and relationships. Our experienced family doctors and mental health professionals at Be Well often encounter patients needing guidance for sleep disorders. This workshop aims to inform participants about insomnia, its causes, and various therapies to manage it effectively.

This insomnia workshop will take place on March 16, 2024, starting at 09:45 AM at the Coral Restaurant on the BelVida Estates compound (formerly Banyan) in Hua Hin.

Dr. Mowae will cover the basics of sleep, its physiology, and its importance. He will define insomnia, summarize its main causes, and provide a high-level overview of available treatments.
Steve will discuss the psychological factors contributing to insomnia, focusing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), a highly effective treatment in Western countries for chronic insomnia.
Dr. Vivianne will explore Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and its approach to insomnia, including acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, and Chinese herbal treatments, offering alternatives or complements to Western therapies.

Participants can meet with speakers individually after the workshop to discuss specific questions or concerns regarding insomnia and its treatment.
